Direct entry to Khalifa Park from Salam street closed

Motorists who want to access the Ministries Complex and the Media Zone Authority need to follow traffic signs placed before the tunnel near Khalifa Park. The direct entry to Khalifa Park (between the Manazel and the Ministry of Labour buildings) will be permanently closed.

Mapeng

Drivers travelling out of Abu Dhabi have to stay on thev rightmost lane and do not enter the tunnel, whereas drivers coming into Abu Dhabi have to stay on the rightmost lane and take the right exit to make a U-turn.

The Salam Street project will offer a state-of-the-art solution that meets the needs of a growing city. It includes upgrading the existing road to an urban expressway with a network of roads and tunnels that will lead to a smooth free-flow facility of an estimated capacity of 6,000 vehicles per hour on each direction. Upon completion of the project, motorists will be able to travel through Salam Street without any traffic signals from Sheikh Zayed Bridge until the Mina Zayed. The project will also positively impact the environment by reducing traffic volumes that will lead to a decrease in air pollution.
