The market, which will take place on Friday, 29th April at the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology (MI) campus from 10am to 5pm, is free to the public. Exhibitors will display a wide range of organic food from Abu Dhabi local farms, organic beauty and spa products, as well as recycled stationary, arts and crafts including jewellery.

Also on site will be a host of recreational activities for the entire family, including a children’s entertainment section, henna designs and face painting. In addition, visitors will have an opportunity to ride Masdar City’s electric driverless Personal Rapid Transport (PRT) pod cars, which will whisk guests to and from the MI campus.

Alan Frost, director of Masdar City, said, “Masdar City is open to the public and is a living example of what Abu Dhabi can achieve and its commitment to sustainable living. We encourage people to begin sharing the Masdar experience and to be part of the historic development in creating one of the world’s most sustainable cities.”

The Market@Masdar City will run as a monthly event, but will be closed from May to September.
