AppsArabia, the Middle East’s first and only apps development investment fund has released its first app, Kalimat, a fun and collaborative iPhone game.
The game - available for download from the App Store in mid December - is a multiplayer word game with two different gameing styles allowing friends to “pass & play” or challenge random players via the internet.
AppsArabia, based at twofour54 in Abu Dhabi, is the brainchild of Dubai-based entrepreneur, Farès Fayad, who developed Kalimat with local app specialists Piranha Byte. “The launch of Kalimat represents locally developed content which will have a mass appeal regionally and internationally,” said Wayne Borg, COO of twofour54.
The launch of Kalimat will coincide with an online video campaign, focusing on the story of the two central characters Kali and Mat. The campaign follows the hilarious ups and downs of Kali and Mat’s relationship, as a result of Mat’s addiction to Kalimat.
