Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver star in this low-budget Hitchcockian thriller based on Belgian author Georges Simenon’s novel of the same name

On a long drive, a man gets into an acrimonious fight with his wife, who disappears. While he’s looking for her, he gets hijacked by an escaped convict. And that’s about it. Tense, inventive and with solid performances all round, this relatively unhyped film is well worth a watch.
