The judges in a camel beauty contest use a very strict set of criteria – ears must be firm, back high, hump large and symmetrical, rump not too big (just enough room for a saddle), hair shiny, head massive. The nose should have a strong arch in the bridge, sloping toward a bottom lip that hangs down “like a bauble”. Necks and legs should be long. And the camel’s toes should be well defined.
