Imperfections

Haven’t people ever heard of the saying to never judge a book by its cover?

Well that is something people tend to do a lot and you might say that it isn’t true but at the end of the day if you see a person wearing glasses and braces, you ultimately perceive that they are nerds. For all you know they could be flunking math, but no one really tries to look past the obvious. It’s like image means everything and your personality might as well not be there. To everyone who thinks that, I would just like to state that for many people there is more to them than just his or her appearance.

Most of the time it doesn’t matter what your weight or height is if you have an astounding personality. Anyone can try to overlook the less brilliant features and if someone cannot there’s clearly something wrong with them. If someone is oh-so beautiful but has a messed up point of view on things you can’t possibly live with that. Everyone is going to have his or her opinion on you. No one realises that every single human being on the face of the earth is beautiful. No one has to starve themselves or apply a ton of make-up to feel that they fit in, because believe it or not at some point in your life you will feel like an outcast, like you’re uncomfortable in your skin.

There are so many insecurities that people have and although they may not show it these insecurities are there. Some people hide them; others face them with all the strength they can muster. Imperfection is so underrated – it’s perfectly human to err, come to think of it if we didn’t have our tiny little quirks, we wouldn’t be human, now would we? The whole point of this is just to let you know that you should not point out someone’s flaws – to hide behind your own defects, the ones you haven’t really disclosed to anyone in the fear of seeming weak. Just think of that before you start presuming what people might be like on the foundation of their guise.

But sure go ahead! You are at complete liberty to make assumptions on a book by peeking at its cover; however you will be missing out on the contents of something truly staggering though.
