Aldar, one of the UAE’s leading real estate developers, has announced that it generated over AED 3.5 billion in sales during the launch week of Fahid Island, Abu Dhabi’s first coastal wellness destination and the world’s first Fitwel certified island.

The milestone figure was driven by strong demand for the first two residential developments on the island — Fahid Beach Residences and The Beach House — both of which blend luxury waterfront living with a wellness-focused lifestyle. Positioned as a global benchmark in integrated wellness and sustainable living, Fahid Island is rapidly emerging as a high-profile investment and residential destination.

In a statement, Aldar confirmed that 67% of buyers were first-time customers and that nearly half (42%) of purchasers were under the age of 45 — highlighting growing interest in wellness-led living among younger investors. International demand also proved strong, with expatriates and overseas buyers accounting for 67% of total sales. Top buyer nationalities included residents from the UAE, Russia, the UK, and China.

“The highly anticipated launch of Fahid Island has resulted in the first homes released generating more than AED 3.5 billion — and serves as a powerful validation of our vision to place wellness at the heart of community living,” said Jonathan Emery, CEO of Aldar Development. “The success reflects Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the world’s most desirable investment and lifestyle destinations.”

Aldar accelerated the launch of The Beach House, the island’s second residential phase, in response to overwhelming demand. The development includes 11 towers offering a mix of studios and three-bedroom + maid apartments, with interiors inspired by coastal elegance and designed to evoke calm and clarity. Residents will enjoy direct shoreline access, panoramic views of the Abu Dhabi skyline, and a full range of modern wellness-focused amenities.

Fahid Island’s masterplan includes Coral Drive, a boutique retail boulevard, and the prestigious King’s College School Wimbledon, underscoring Aldar’s aim to create a holistic live-work-learn environment. The integration of education, nature, wellness, and lifestyle places Fahid Island in line with global trends that prioritise community and sustainability in luxury development.

Aldar plans further residential launches on the island in the months ahead, continuing its mission to redefine coastal living in the region through innovative, wellness-first urban design.

As the UAE expands its footprint as a global hub for lifestyle-driven investment, Fahid Island is shaping up to be one of its most significant and forward-thinking real estate developments to date.
