Filming has begun for Aşk ve Gözyaşı, the highly anticipated Turkish adaptation of the Korean hit Queen of Tears, with stars Hande Erçel and Barış Arduç returning to the screen together. The series, produced by O3 Medya and Dass Yapım for ATV, is scheduled to premiere in September, airing Friday nights.

The first rehearsals have already drawn attention online, as fans praised the on-screen chemistry between Erçel and Arduç. The pair play Meyra and Selim, a married couple navigating the complexities of life after what appeared to be their “happy ending.” The drama promises a poignant exploration of love tested by time, blending romance with emotional intensity.

Written by Dilara Pamuk and directed by Engin Erden, Aşk ve Gözyaşı marks a reunion for the actors and director, who previously worked together on the romantic film Rüzgara Yorum (Leave It to the Wind). The production is set in Istanbul and aims to combine visual elegance with heartfelt storytelling.

Erçel and Arduç have a proven track record as co-stars, having previously led Rüzgara Bırak and Aşkı Hatırla, both well-received by audiences for their strong emotional performances and chemistry.

In Aşk ve Gözyaşı, viewers can expect a story rich in heartbreak, resilience and hope. The Turkish adaptation will reinterpret the acclaimed Korean series for local audiences, with expectations high that it will be one of the standout dramas of the season.

With two of Turkey’s most popular television stars in leading roles and a production team known for cinematic visuals, anticipation is already building. Fans are counting down the days until the series’ debut, eager to see how this new retelling will resonate.
