Clint Eastwood directs this deep and meaningful supernatural thriller. Centred around three people – an English schoolboy, a blue collar American and a French journalist – each are touched by death in different ways. Eastwood effectively taps into common themes surrounding death including fear and mortality issues; sure the film provides no real answers, but it’s thought-provoking with some worthy acting from lead Matt Damon.
