In Tim Burton’s latest production, Johnny Depp stars as the miserable vampire Barnabas Collins – unearthed from two centuries’ burial to awkwardly rejoin his family in 1972

Ostensibly based on the 1960s supernatural soap opera of the same name, this two hour bore-fest is at least ninety minutes too long. Depp does his best to draw you in but unfortunately he’s fighting a losing battle and he’s not helped by the rest of the disappointing cast (or miscast). This is one to avoid.
