The World Technology Summit (WT Summit), a new global platform celebrating human ingenuity across science, technology, and innovation, will launch its inaugural edition from November 5–7, 2025, in Pune and Mumbai, India.

Announced by World Technology, the summit is being organized in collaboration with MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) and will bring together leading voices in AI, biotechnology, education, and digital infrastructure from around the globe.

“India offers the energy, scale, and ingenuity that the future demands,” said Paul J. Foster, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of World Technology. “The WT Summit is a platform for bold ideas, leading voices and new alliances — and we are proud to be together at MIT World Peace University, Pune.”

The summit is designed to spotlight emerging advances in data and life sciences, positioning India as a crucial hub for innovation that is both ethical and inclusive.

“At MIT-WPU, we believe that technology must serve humanity not just through invention but through intention,” said Dr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President of MIT World Peace University. “Hosting the World Technology Summit in Bharat is a clarion call that the future of global innovation must be anchored in peace for societal transformation.”

Dr. Prasad D. Khandekar, Chief Academic Officer at MIT-WPU, emphasized the significance of this collaboration:

“This moment reflects both Bharat’s ambition and our institution’s commitment to advancing technology with purpose.”

The WT Summit aims to bridge perspectives from both the global north and south, fostering cross-border collaboration on the future of technology. Professor Ganesh Kakandikar, Associate Dean of External Relations at MIT-WPU, will serve as the coordination lead between global and local teams.

“This summit puts ingenuity on center stage,” added Deborah Pandit-Sawaf, Chair of the WT Summit 2025 India Coordination Commission. “We’re convening the people and platforms shaping the future — and India is where it starts.”

The summit’s three-day program will feature:

  • High-profile keynotes from international and Indian leaders in science and innovation
  • Immersive technology demonstrations from startups and research labs
  • Youth-led innovation showcases encouraging student participation and global mentorship
  • Panels and forums on inclusive innovation, data ethics, AI in education, digital infrastructure, and healthcare transformation

As the world faces rapid technological shifts, the WT Summit 2025 is expected to serve as a catalyst for purposeful innovation, bridging sectors and borders. For more information, visit the official World Technology platform.
