The Emirates Group’s annual innovation forum, ForsaTEK 2025, has returned with a bold focus on scaling technology across aviation, spotlighting advances in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The event is driving deeper engagement across the Group’s businesses, underlining Emirates’ commitment to embedding innovation at every level of operation.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the forum also welcomed Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, UAE Minister of Education, for an official opening and guided tour.
“ForsaTEK 2025 underpins our continued commitment to scaling up innovation, supporting startups, and creating a dynamic testbed of partnerships,” said His Highness. “From advanced robotics to inclusive design, this forum showcases how we are anchoring the next wave of innovations to transform aviation and customer experience.”
Expanding Innovation Pipelines
This year’s edition hosted over 40 technology showcases, strategically arranged across the entire innovation lifecycle—from early-stage research to scaled solutions. Among the fully launched initiatives were:
- Autonomous drones for inventory management by dnata Cargo
- AI-powered aircraft turnaround systems for Emirates Airport Services
- 3D prototyping of spare parts for operational efficiency
- Autonomous security robots developed with Transguard and Emirates Group Security
In the Trial Zone, groundbreaking accessibility tech took centre stage. These included Glidance’s self-guided mobility aid for visually impaired passengers, and the JeffCAN sensory chair designed for neurodiverse travellers. Airbus presented its inclusive PRM lavatory and personal wheelchair system for better cabin accessibility.
Engineering and maintenance trials also pushed new boundaries, including Apple Vision Pro-based augmented reality (AR) for visualising key aircraft components, AI-powered engine part recognition, and drone-based aircraft inspections to improve speed and safety.
Startups and Youth at the Forefront
ForsaTEK 2025 also hosted a pitch zone featuring 13 startups, offering them a platform to present their solutions to a panel of VIPs, investors, and tech leaders. Meanwhile, the Experience Zone highlighted employee innovation journeys and engaged youth with interactive exhibits, reflecting the Group’s focus on cultivating a culture of continuous innovation.
Through ForsaTEK, the Emirates Group continues to position itself at the leading edge of digital transformation in aviation, reshaping travel with smarter, more inclusive, and more efficient solutions.
