Global flavors and fragrances leader IFF (NYSE: IFF) has officially opened a new 75,000 sq. ft. Global Business Services (GBS) center in Hyderabad’s financial district, reinforcing the company’s global commitment to operational agility, innovation, and sustainability.
The new center—capable of supporting up to 600 employees—is a cornerstone in IFF’s ongoing strategy to strengthen corporate functions and enhance global service delivery. Outfitted with cutting-edge digital infrastructure, the facility features collaborative workspaces, an Innovation Studio for AI, robotics, and automation, and is on track for LEED Gold certification, thanks to its eco-conscious design elements like solar lighting and rainwater harvesting.
“This move enables us to serve our customers with greater speed, efficiency and purpose, while advancing strategic growth and sustainability,” said Mike DeVeau, CFO of IFF. “The energy of Hyderabad—where tradition meets modernity—perfectly complements our mission to make joy through science, creativity, and heart.”
Innovation Meets Sustainability
Beyond offering high-speed connectivity and smart security systems, the Hyderabad GBS center will act as a global catalyst for IFF’s digital and operational excellence. It will house functions across finance, supply chain, procurement, and IT, and will serve as a hub for piloting tech-driven projects in automation and intelligent business operations.
IFF’s Innovation Studio, located within the center, is designed to explore new technologies such as AI and machine learning, supporting digital transformation across global operations.
Sustainability is central to the facility’s design. In addition to LEED goals, the new space promotes employee wellbeing with flexible seating, wellness areas, and ergonomic workstations. The facility encourages inclusive, agile work environments that align with the evolving needs of global teams.
India as a Strategic Growth Market
India is one of IFF’s key growth markets, and Hyderabad—known for its thriving tech and R&D sectors—offers access to a deep talent pool. The center aims to attract professionals eager to contribute to global innovation while driving localized growth in India.
“Our people are our greatest asset,” said Deborah Borg, Chief People & Culture Officer at IFF. “This vibrant new office is more than just a workplace—it’s a collaborative, human-centric space designed to foster wellness and ingenuity.”
