Al Tayer Motors, one of the UAE’s premier automotive retailers, has officially launched the DEEPAL S05, a compact electric SUV from DEEPAL, the intelligent mobility brand of Changan Automotive. Following the successful debut of the DEEPAL S07 earlier this year, the S05 enters the market with a strong promise of affordability, smart design, and advanced EV technology tailored for UAE drivers.

Unveiled as a dual-power compact SUV, the DEEPAL S05 is available in two variants:

  • A Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) offering a range of up to 460 km
  • A Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) with 160 km electric range and a total combined range of over 900 km

Speaking at the launch, Ashok Khanna, CEO of Al Tayer Motors, said:

“We are delighted to unveil DEEPAL’s newest model within just four months of the S07. The S05 will build on the excitement generated by the brand and appeal to a wider group of customers looking for accessible and intelligent electric mobility.”

The DEEPAL S05 stands out with its sleek aerodynamic design, rear-wheel drive dynamics, and a smart cockpit powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Key interior highlights include a 15.4-inch central control screen, augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD), panoramic sunroof, and wireless phone charging.

Built on the Changan Platform Architecture (CPA), the vehicle features hidden door handles, frameless windows, and futuristic Smart Flying Wing Headlights. It integrates next-generation safety systems such as Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC).

Mr Xiao, General Manager of Changan Automobile’s Middle East and Africa Division, commented:

“The DEEPAL S05 reflects our vision to bring cutting-edge electric innovation to everyday drivers. It’s a blend of technology, design, and practicality — tailored for the UAE market.”

Performance-wise, the BEV variant is powered by a 175kW electric motor, while the REEV model features a 160kW motor paired with a 1.5L range extender engine. Fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 15–20 minutes, depending on the variant.

The DEEPAL S05 is now available for purchase and test drives via the Al Tayer Motors website, the Al Tayer Motors app, or by calling 800 MOTORS.

The launch is another step in Al Tayer Motors’ commitment to sustainable mobility, as it continues to diversify its electric vehicle offerings. With over 40 years in the automotive sector, the dealership is leveraging its infrastructure and digital platforms to deliver premium experiences to EV enthusiasts in the UAE.

As electric vehicle adoption gains momentum across the region, the DEEPAL S05 is poised to be a compelling option for tech-savvy, environmentally conscious drivers seeking a smart and stylish daily companion.
