ENOC Group, the UAE’s leading integrated energy player, has appointed Mr. Hussain Sultan Lootah as Acting Chief Executive Officer, marking a new chapter in its leadership as the organisation continues to align with Dubai’s ambitions for sustainable development and economic diversification.
Mr. Lootah succeeds Mr. Saif Humaid Al Falasi, who served as Group CEO for the past decade, steering ENOC through a period of expansion, innovation, and transformation in the regional energy sector.
In his first remarks as Acting CEO, Mr. Lootah said:
“ENOC Group is at the forefront of building a more sustainable energy landscape for the UAE and the wider region. I am honoured to step into this new role and be part of the ENOC success journey. I look forward to working closely with ENOC’s talent and leaders to build on its legacy of innovation and excellence.”
With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Lootah brings significant expertise in finance, commercial strategy, project delivery, and talent development. He has held several senior leadership positions across the energy sector and is widely recognised for his contributions to Emiratisation initiatives and advancing human capital development.
His appointment reflects ENOC’s continued focus on grooming national leadership and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy strategies, while maintaining operational excellence across its vast business portfolio.
ENOC Group operates across the entire energy value chain, with interests spanning exploration, production, refining, distribution, and retail. Under Mr. Al Falasi’s leadership, the Group launched key projects such as the ENOC Future Service Station, advanced digital transformation, and expanded regionally to meet rising demand and support Dubai’s energy security.
As the global energy industry continues to navigate the twin challenges of decarbonisation and digitalisation, ENOC’s leadership transition comes at a pivotal moment. Mr. Lootah is expected to guide the Group through emerging trends in sustainable fuel solutions, energy infrastructure, and technology integration, in line with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals.
The appointment aligns with the vision of Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which aims to consolidate the city’s position as a global hub for innovation and sustainable business. ENOC’s strategic role in enabling these goals will now be carried forward under Mr. Lootah’s leadership.
With this new appointment, ENOC reiterates its mission to deliver reliable, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions—locally and globally—while fostering a strong foundation for future generations of Emirati energy professionals.
