Schneider Electric has earned a SmartScore Platinum certification for its Dubai headquarters, The NEST, making it the first rollout of the company’s Impact Buildings Program and a benchmark for digitally enabled, sustainable office spaces in the region.

Awarded by WiredScore, the global certification body for digital connectivity and smart technology in buildings, the accolade recognizes The NEST’s perfect score of 100 across key areas including design, infrastructure, user functionality, and innovation. The building now stands among the most technologically advanced and environmentally conscious workplaces in the world.

Flagship of the Impact Buildings Program

Located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, The NEST spans 10,000 square meters and supports over 1,000 employees. It reflects Schneider Electric’s global commitment to energy efficiency, digital transformation, and employee well-being. The building integrates a full suite of Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™ solutions, along with AI, automation, and digital twin systems.

These innovations allow the building to achieve up to 37% energy savings, avoiding an estimated 572 metric tons of CO₂ annually—advancements well aligned with the UAE Energy Strategy 2050 and Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

Amel Chadli, President of Gulf Countries at Schneider Electric, commented:

“Achieving a perfect SmartScore Platinum rating is a proud milestone for us while also testifying to Dubai’s leadership in sustainability and digital innovation. As the flagship of our Impact Buildings Program, The NEST represents our commitment to future-ready workplaces that are intelligent, sustainable, and people-centric.”

Designed for People, Performance, and Planet

The NEST was developed in collaboration with Gensler, JLL, and Cundall, and showcases how a landlord-owned base building can be transformed into a future-ready environment. The space is optimized not only for operational efficiency but also for collaboration, co-creation, and employee engagement.

SmartScore’s top-tier certification adds to the building’s appeal, with The NEST also on track to receive WELL and LEED ID+C Platinum certifications. These recognitions underscore the building’s role in promoting health, comfort, and sustainability, while enhancing long-term asset value and tenant desirability.

With The NEST, Schneider Electric sets a new regional standard for smart buildings—combining technology, sustainability, and human-centric design—and reinforcing its position as a global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation.
