In a move to empower the next generation of Emirati professionals, du, the UAE’s leading telecom and digital services provider, has launched Experience X — a new internship initiative tailored to bridge the gap between academic education and the professional world.

Aimed at nurturing undergraduate Emirati talent, Experience X reflects du’s commitment to Emiratization and to creating meaningful career pathways for young nationals. The 12-week immersive program provides students with hands-on industry experience while cultivating technical, professional, and soft skills in real-world business environments.

“We believe in the power of the youth as the driving force for our nation’s future,” said Fatema Al Afeefi, Acting Chief People & Impact Officer at du. “Experience X is a gateway for the national youth to explore, engage, and excel in their desired career paths.”

Interns in the program benefit from structured learning plans, personalized mentorship, and active integration into du’s operational teams. Each participant is paired with a dedicated mentor or “buddy” to guide their development. Interns are involved in meetings, contribute to live projects, and gain exposure to the dynamics of professional work culture.

In addition to on-the-job training, the program includes sessions in professional development, leadership exposure, and feedback-driven growth. Tailored to individual academic specializations, the curriculum promotes career exploration in technology, marketing, HR, strategy, and other key sectors of the digital economy.

Experience X also directly supports the UAE’s broader strategic goals for a sustainable, knowledge-based economy, by investing in homegrown talent and equipping young Emiratis with tools to thrive in competitive industries.

With Experience X, du reinforces its role not only as a telecom leader but as a champion of youth empowerment and national development, building a bridge from classroom to career and shaping a generation ready to lead in a rapidly evolving market.
