Maserati Unveils MCPURA Supercar at Goodwood Festival 2025

Maserati has officially premiered its newest super sports car, the MCPURA, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025, showcasing a bold expression of Italian craftsmanship, innovation, and performance. A successor to the MC20, the MCPURA captures the spirit of Maserati’s racing soul while elevating its design and engineering to new heights.

Presented in both coupé and convertible (Cielo) versions, the MCPURA retains the 630-CV V6 Nettuno engine, a Maserati-patented marvel inspired by Formula 1. With carbon-fibre construction, a best-in-class weight-to-power ratio of 2.33 kg/CV, and the brand’s signature Butterfly doors, the MCPURA cements its place among elite supercars.

At its core is the 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6, delivering 630 CV at 7500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque. The innovation lies in its pre-chamber combustion system with twin spark plugs, enabling extraordinary power and responsiveness while remaining road legal.

Maserati debuted the MCPURA in the stunning Ai Aqua Rainbow body colour—a dynamic blue with a sun-activated prism effect—paired with laser-etched Alcantara Ice interiors. The design reflects a fusion of sportiness and elegance, enhanced by iridescent interior visuals and magenta-and-blue detailing on badges and rims.

“With MCPURA, Maserati is once again regaining its rightful place—at the top,” said Santo Ficili, Maserati COO. “Modena is not just our headquarters; it forms part of our identity. This car is a pure expression of Italian excellence.”

A standout feature in the MCPURA Cielo is its retractable PDLC glass roof, capable of transforming from opaque to transparent in one second, creating a multi-sensory driving experience—from sky-view calm to full convertible thrill.

Maserati’s Fuoriserie programme allows extensive customisation, with over 30 colour options, including the new Devil Orange, Verde Royale, and Night Interaction. Every MCPURA is handcrafted at Maserati’s historic Viale Ciro Menotti facility in Modena, also home to the GT2 Stradale and soon the GranTurismo and GranCabrio.

The unveiling at Goodwood, a celebration of performance and legacy, underscores MCPURA’s role as the new standard-bearer of the Trident brand—an all-Italian masterpiece built for a global audience that craves energy, elegance, and excellence.
