LG Electronics is bringing a new level of intelligence to household chores in the Gulf region with the launch of its latest AI Core-powered washing machines. Combining smart performance, energy efficiency, and emotional intelligence, LG’s new line of appliances aims to redefine the role of artificial intelligence in the modern home.

Part of LG’s broader “Affectionate Intelligence” vision, the appliances promise a more empathetic, responsive approach to everyday living. Rather than simply automating tasks, the company says its AI Core technology is designed to understand users’ routines, fabric care preferences, and energy-saving needs, transforming laundry from a chore into a personalized experience.

At the center of this innovation is AI Direct Drive (AI DD), a deep learning-powered system that detects fabric types and load sizes, adjusting washing motions to minimize wear and tear while ensuring optimal cleanliness. Other intelligent features include the AI Fabric Sensor, which adapts water levels, detergent dosage, and spin speeds based on fabric texture and weight, and the AI Optimal Wash Cycle, which evaluates soil levels to select the most suitable program automatically.

“This isn’t just about clean clothes — it’s about delivering care that’s intelligent, intuitive, and energy-conscious,” said an LG Gulf representative at the product launch.

Smart and Sustainable

Designed for energy efficiency as much as performance, LG’s new washing machines align with rising eco-consciousness across the Gulf. Features such as AI Inverter Technology and AI Energy Saver dynamically adjust power use based on load size and real-time conditions. Meanwhile, AI Water Optimization minimizes water waste, ensuring every wash is precise and resource-efficient.

These eco-friendly advancements not only help consumers lower their utility bills but also support regional sustainability goals, offering a tangible solution for greener homes.

Connected Living with ThinQ

Each machine integrates seamlessly with LG’s ThinQ app, placing the washing machine at the heart of a connected smart home. From remote cycle monitoring to maintenance alerts and AI-powered recommendations through the Laundry Assistant, ThinQ offers users deeper control and convenience.

Moreover, these machines can communicate with other ThinQ-enabled appliances, including dryers and air purifiers, enhancing the cohesiveness of the smart home ecosystem.

A Vision for Intelligent Living

The introduction of LG’s AI-powered washing machines marks a significant step in the brand’s 2025 global vision — a future where household appliances become intuitive companions. By combining technological innovation with emotional awareness, LG is pushing beyond traditional automation to create home experiences that are proactive, sustainable, and responsive.

With smart home adoption rising rapidly across the Gulf, LG’s new washing machines are not just innovations — they are enablers of a new lifestyle. Through thoughtful, AI-enhanced fabric care, energy-conscious design, and intelligent connectivity, LG is setting a new benchmark for how appliances can improve lives while respecting the planet.

As the line between human and machine continues to blur, LG’s commitment to “Affectionate Intelligence” ensures that technology remains not only smart but also sincerely helpful.
