Ooredoo, Bawwaba Launch Oman’s First B2B Marketplace

Ooredoo has partnered with Bawwaba, a rising Omani B2B e-marketplace, to launch Oman’s first telecom-backed digital business marketplace, marking a significant move toward advancing the country’s digital economy.

The platform aims to provide small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and corporate clients with a seamless, smart way to connect, trade, and expand their reach—both locally and globally. It is the first of its kind in the Sultanate, offering businesses a single digital platform to promote their services, discover partners, and unlock commercial opportunities.

Described as a “game-changing solution” for the local business ecosystem, the initiative blends Ooredoo’s digital infrastructure and customer base with Bawwaba’s marketplace technology, creating a unique synergy between telecom and tech sectors in the region.

“This partnership marks a major step in Ooredoo’s journey to go beyond telecom and drive digital growth,” said Assad Al Saadi, Director of ICT Business Enablement at Ooredoo.

Al Saadi added that the collaboration is set to strengthen Oman’s SME ecosystem by offering innovative digital solutions that boost operational efficiency, competitive positioning, and visibility in the market.

The launch is in direct alignment with Oman’s Vision 2040, which focuses on economic diversification and digital transformation. Both Ooredoo and Bawwaba have signaled a long-term commitment to supporting national goals by empowering businesses with the tools they need to thrive in a modern, digitally connected economy.

The marketplace also contributes to building a resilient, future-ready business environment in Oman. For companies navigating post-pandemic economic realities, the new platform offers timely support by simplifying procurement, promoting partnerships, and enabling smoother supply chain dynamics.
