Ooredoo Unveils Summer Offers for Khareef Season

As Oman’s southern Dhofar region welcomes the cool breeze and misty charm of the Khareef season, telecom giant Ooredoo has rolled out a suite of travel-focused offers to help visitors stay connected and make the most of their time in Salalah.

From generous data packages to seamless eSIM activation and 5G portability, Ooredoo is positioning itself as the ultimate digital travel companion for Khareef tourists.

The new campaign includes prepaid Tourist Plans tailored for visitors to Dhofar. These plans feature unlimited tourist-to-tourist calls, high-speed internet, and international minutes—all bundled with a digital onboarding process. Through facial recognition, users can activate their eSIM instantly upon arrival, with plans starting at just OMR 5.

“This year, we’ve made it easier than ever for travelers to stay connected and share their Khareef experience,” said a spokesperson from Ooredoo Oman. “We’ve combined reliable coverage with smart features and digital ease, so our customers can enjoy Salalah without missing a moment.”

To sweeten the deal, users of these Tourist Plans will also gain access to exclusive Nojoom discounts on hotels, cafes, and car rentals—adding even more value to their seasonal getaway.

In addition to tourist-focused services, Ooredoo is also looking after local prepaid users. Its Hala Data Booster now offers up to 100GB of bonus social media data for just OMR 2, making it easier to post pictures, connect with friends, and share live updates from the misty mountains or monsoon-drenched beaches.

For longer stays or those planning to work remotely during the holidays, the company has announced a Khareef-friendly perk for 5G Home Internet users. Customers can carry their modems to Salalah at no extra cost, benefiting from Ooredoo’s enhanced 5G coverage in the region.

“We know Salalah is a top destination for Omanis and tourists alike,” the spokesperson added. “That’s why we’ve made sure our services travel with our customers.”

Ooredoo’s offers reflect its broader strategy to promote digital empowerment, flexibility, and customer-centric service. From fast onboarding to plug-and-play internet and entertainment-ready social bundles, the company is creating a seamless digital experience during Oman’s most visited season.

The Khareef season, which runs from June to September, transforms Salalah into a lush green landscape that attracts thousands of visitors from across the Gulf. Known for its moderate temperatures, waterfalls, and scenic beauty, the season provides a unique contrast to the scorching heat in other parts of the region.

By aligning its offers with seasonal travel trends, Ooredoo is not only improving customer experience but also contributing to tourism development in Oman.
