Nick Cassidy secured a dramatic victory in Round 15 of the 2025 Marvel Fantastic Four London E-Prix, delivering Jaguar TCS Racing their third consecutive Formula E win in what was his farewell weekend with the team.

The New Zealander, starting from fifth on the grid, produced a calculated and commanding drive, overcoming Mahindra Racing’s Nyck de Vries in a thrilling mid-race overtake on Lap 27. Despite intense pressure from the Dutch driver, Cassidy held his nerve to take the chequered flag and celebrate with the home team in front of jubilant fans and partners.

The victory marks Jaguar’s third straight triumph, a rare achievement matched by only four other teams in Formula E history. It also gave departing Team Principal James Barclay a perfect send-off, having led the British marque’s modern motorsport journey.

“It’s unbelievable!” said Cassidy. “To win here at home for Jaguar and our team in front of a lot of our friends, family and partners who are here today, is incredible. I wasn’t the happiest guy this morning but I knew we had good potential in the car. That race proved it.”

Mahindra’s de Vries, who briefly led the race with an early ATTACK MODE and later PIT BOOST strategy, was narrowly edged out in the final sector before Cassidy’s decisive move. Nevertheless, the Dutchman earned his team’s best result of the season.

“We certainly are happy to be back and give the team a result they definitely deserve,” said de Vries. “We were able to execute a good race and get a deserved podium.”

Pascal Wehrlein of TAG Heuer Porsche completed the podium, finishing third and registering the fastest lap of the race. His result proved crucial in bolstering Porsche’s position in the Teams’ and FIA Manufacturers’ World Championships.

“I always want to win, but today it wasn’t possible,” Wehrlein admitted. “Still, the points are important for our championship goals. One more race tomorrow – I’m looking forward to it.”

Season 8 champion Stoffel Vandoorne brought his Maserati MSG Racing car home in fourth, followed by Jake Dennis in fifth and Jean-Éric Vergne rounding out the top six for DS PENSKE.

Cassidy’s win propels him to third in the Drivers’ Championship, trailing new champion Oliver Rowland—who could only manage 11th—and Wehrlein. Porsche now leads Nissan by 39 points in the Teams’ standings, and 367 to 338 in the FIA Manufacturers’ race, with just one round remaining.

The season finale, Round 16, will take place on Sunday 27 July in London. Free Practice begins at 10:00 local time, with qualifying at 12:20 and the race scheduled for 17:05.

The stage is set for a tense conclusion to the 2025 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
