Ooredoo Kuwait has teamed up with the Kuwait Fire Force to deliver a comprehensive workshop on fire, accident, and safety prevention, underscoring the company’s commitment to workplace and community well-being.
Led by Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Haji and his team, the sessions combined practical training, live demonstrations, and real-life case studies to prepare employees for a range of emergency scenarios.
Participants were taught to identify risks, mitigate hazards, and respond swiftly in critical situations. Topics included fire hazards in the workplace, home safety awareness, water accident prevention, and structured emergency protocols.
Interactive exercises such as handling fire extinguishers and practising evacuation drills gave employees hands-on experience. The aim, according to organisers, was to reinforce the importance of vigilance and quick response in minimising harm.
Branch managers were central to the programme, tasked with cascading the training to their teams. Ooredoo said this approach would embed safety awareness throughout the organisation, transforming preparedness into a shared responsibility.
The initiative also highlighted Ooredoo Kuwait’s collaboration with frontline emergency services. By working closely with the Kuwait Fire Force, employees were able to gain insights directly from professionals with extensive field experience, adding weight and credibility to the training.
The workshop was jointly organised by the company’s Administrative, Human Resources, and Corporate Communications departments to ensure wide participation across its branches.
The impact was described as immediate. Employees left with increased awareness of everyday risks, greater confidence in responding to emergencies, and a renewed commitment to share safety practices with colleagues and families.
Ooredoo stressed that safety is an ongoing priority rather than a one-off initiative. The company said that equipping employees with life-saving skills not only protects its workforce but also contributes to broader public safety in Kuwait.
A spokesperson added that the programme forms part of Ooredoo Kuwait’s wider corporate responsibility strategy. Alongside service excellence and technological innovation, the company emphasises social responsibility, viewing the protection and empowerment of people as central to its mission.
The initiative reflects the company’s long-standing belief that corporate success extends beyond business metrics to safeguarding communities and strengthening national partnerships.
By embedding safety training at the heart of its operations, Ooredoo Kuwait seeks to foster a culture of preparedness that benefits both its employees and society at large.
