With summer temperatures still running high, LG Electronics is leaning into indoor entertainment, unveiling its latest OLED evo and QNED evo televisions. The new models, designed with both movie lovers and gamers in mind, promise sharper visuals, brighter displays and more intelligent features.

At the forefront of the OLED evo G5 and M5 series lies LG’s next-generation α11 AI Processor 4K Gen2, which analyses and adjusts more than eight million pixels in real time. The result, the company says, is nuanced, lifelike imagery with striking depth. Coupled with Brightness Booster Ultimate, these OLED screens deliver up to three times more brightness than standard OLEDs. LG emphasises that the models achieve “Perfect Black” and “Perfect Color,” with certification for exceptional black levels and consistency even in bright environments.

Gamers are also being courted. The OLED evo G5 features ultra-low input lag and support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) up to 165Hz, promising fluid gameplay without tearing or stutter. Combined with self-lit pixels and cinematic visuals, LG is positioning the set as a match for next-generation console gaming and competitive play.

Meanwhile, the QNED evo lineup targets those who prefer bold colour and vivid brightness. Built on LG’s NanoCell and Quantum Dot technologies, the QNED models claim 100% Color Volume certification, ensuring accurate, vibrant visuals even in daylight-filled rooms. The flagship QNED92 comes powered by the α8 AI Processor 4K Gen2, which upscales content to near-4K clarity. Its Precision Dimming Pro system fine-tunes contrast scene by scene, designed to bring out detail across both dark and bright sequences.

Beyond image quality, LG is highlighting AI-driven personalisation as a key feature. The TVs are embedded with tools such as AI Voice ID, AI Concierge, and an intuitive Picture & Sound Wizard, aiming to tailor content and settings to individual preferences. Audio performance also gets a boost, with standard formats upmixed into virtual 11.1.2 channel surround sound, intended to provide an enveloping soundscape.

Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos support remain part of the package, reinforcing LG’s bid to offer a cinema-like experience at home. The company also points to design – slim bezels and sleek forms – crafted to fit modern interiors.

“LG’s OLED evo and QNED evo TVs are not just about picture quality,” the firm noted in a release, “they represent a personalised entertainment experience for homes that value both performance and design.”

With the new lineup, LG is encouraging customers to swap sweltering outdoor heat for immersive indoor entertainment. The evo series is now available in select markets, including the UAE, where LG is highlighting the models as an “ultimate entertainment upgrade” for households looking to elevate family movie nights or competitive gaming marathons.
