Dubai-based telecom and digital services provider du has wrapped up the third edition of its flagship technology forum, Envision 2025, bringing together government entities, municipalities, global tech leaders, and industry partners to explore the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the UAE’s digital future.

Themed “AI progress begins when leaders and technology align”, the event opened with a keynote by du CEO Fahad Al Hassawi, who emphasised the importance of collaboration in accelerating innovation. The day-long programme featured panel discussions, showcases, and demonstrations centred on how AI can transform key sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, education, retail, smart cities, transport, and utilities.

“Envision has once again highlighted the UAE’s commitment to leading the global AI revolution,” said Jasim Al Awadi, du’s Chief ICT Officer. “We’re not just discussing tomorrow’s technology – we’re actively creating it today.”

The conference focused on five technological pillars central to the UAE’s transformation agenda:

  • AI and Generative AI applications, including emerging Agentic AI use cases.
  • Sovereign cloud and advanced data centre infrastructure.
  • Robotics and Industry 4.0 solutions for manufacturing.
  • Mining as a Service and GPU as a Service, expanding access to high-performance computing.
  • National hyperscaler and cloud computing solutions to support enterprise growth.

High-profile speakers included entrepreneur and investor Randi Zuckerberg, who shared insights on AI’s role in digital transformation. Other participants included executives from Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Huawei, Dell, Nokia, Fortinet, and Equinix.

Sessions delved into practical strategies for implementing AI, developing sovereign cloud frameworks, and deploying robotics and automation to increase efficiency and sustainability across industries.

The event highlighted the UAE’s ambition to establish itself as a global leader in AI innovation, aligning with the national digital transformation objectives under the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Envision 2025 built on the momentum of earlier editions, which last year drew over 500 participants and more than 100 industry experts. Organisers said this year’s programme strengthened the platform’s reputation as a premier hub for digital transformation dialogue in the region.

By convening policymakers, executives, and innovators, du said it is reinforcing its mission to “power an AI-driven digital economy that builds smarter, more sustainable communities.”
