Posiflex to unveil AI retail tech at GITEX 2025

Posiflex Technology Inc., a global leader in Point of Sale (POS) systems and Online-to-Offline (O2O) solutions, has announced it will unveil a new portfolio of AI-powered business technologies at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, which runs from 13–17 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Operating under the theme “Enabling the Future AI Economy with Smarter Business Solutions”, the Taiwan-headquartered company said it would present innovations designed to transform retail and hospitality experiences, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate digital growth. Visitors will be able to explore the solutions at Booth H15-E50.

AI-powered checkout kiosks

One of the centrepieces of Posiflex’s showcase will be its new generation of self-checkout kiosks. The SCO Series integrates artificial intelligence for product recognition, weighing scales or RFID scanners, and advanced loss-prevention tools.

The company said the technology speeds up the checkout process while reducing errors and enhancing security. It aims to improve convenience for shoppers and operational resilience for retailers.

Contactless tap-to-pay

Posiflex will also demonstrate its new Tap-to-Pay solution, powered by its proprietary NFC on Touch technology. Featured on the GT Series POS terminal, the system supports multi-antenna NFC, enabling faster, more secure, and fully contactless payments.

The GT Series itself features a slim 4mm bezel, a high-brightness display, and a dual-sided design aimed at increasing customer engagement. The company said it would be particularly useful in fast-paced retail and hospitality settings.

Mobile and flexible service

Another highlight is the MT-6200 Series tablet combined with the TA-650 attachment, which converts the device into a portable POS system. This mobility, Posiflex noted, allows staff to serve customers anywhere on the premises, reducing queues and providing greater flexibility in service delivery.

Back-of-house efficiency

For kitchen operations, Posiflex will present the KDS Series, a 21.5-inch high-brightness display built for back-of-house environments. It supports barcode scanners and bump bars, while its durable, sealed casing and anti-fingerprint glass are designed to withstand high heat and heavy use in restaurant kitchens.

A vision for AI-driven business

The company, which is ranked the number one POS brand in the Middle East and Africa, said its GITEX showcase reflects its strategy to drive digital transformation in retail, hospitality, and quick-service restaurants.

Engaging with AI-enabled technologies, Posiflex said, will help businesses better respond to evolving consumer demands while streamlining workflows.

“By embedding AI and advanced design into our solutions, we aim to empower enterprises to thrive in the new AI economy,” the company said in a statement.

Industry analysts note that with digital payments and smart retail systems expanding rapidly across the Gulf region, technology firms are using platforms like GITEX to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can deliver both efficiency and improved customer experiences.

Posiflex is expected to use the exhibition to strengthen its relationships with regional partners and clients, inviting businesses to schedule meetings in advance to discuss their technology needs.
