Azizi Developments has extended its partnership with Saudi-based Bahra Electric to supply advanced electrical systems for some of its most ambitious developments in Dubai.

Under the agreement, Bahra Electric will provide busbar and earthing lightning protection systems for projects across Dubai South, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai Sports City and Al Furjan, including the large-scale Azizi Venice, Creek Views III, Grand, and Central developments.

Bahra Electric, founded in 2008, is a leading manufacturer of electrical products ranging from wires and cables to transformers and switchgear. The company operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and complies with international standards such as ISO 9001 and IEC. Its solutions are widely used in construction, utilities, and oil and gas sectors across the Middle East and North Africa.

Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Developments, described the partnership as a “strengthening of ties” with a “major regional force known for reliability, technical excellence and future-ready infrastructure solutions”.

Venice at the heart of expansion
Azizi Venice, the developer’s flagship project in Dubai South, is set to feature more than 36,000 residential units across over 100 apartment complexes and 109 luxury mansions. Built around a vast lagoon, the community will offer sandy beaches, cycling tracks, sports facilities and a promenade lined with cafes, boutiques and greenery.

A centrepiece of the development will be the Cultural District, incorporating an opera house designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, a 400-seat theatre, an exhibition hall and a performing arts academy. The opera house will seat 2,500 and feature cutting-edge acoustic and visual technology.

Azizi says the Cultural District will serve as a creative hub for residents and visitors, enhancing Dubai’s cultural offering and attracting talent from around the world.

Tourism and community focus
The Venice project will feature pedestrian-friendly shopping and dining areas, seasonal decorations, and attractions such as musical water fountains. It is expected to draw more than 30,000 visitors daily.

Two Azizi-operated five-star hotels and a boutique hotel on an island in the lagoon are planned, alongside a full-service hospital, schools, and extensive children’s facilities. Underground parking and a landscaped main road will provide infrastructure to support the development.

Bahra Electric’s systems will form part of the core infrastructure for Venice and other Azizi projects, ensuring safety and reliability for residents and visitors.

Mr Azizi said the company remains committed to working with “best-in-class suppliers” to maintain high standards of quality, safety and innovation as it accelerates construction across its portfolio.

Azizi Developments’ sales gallery is located on the 13th floor of the Conrad Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
