The Bank of Jordan has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Amman Vision Transport, marking a significant step toward modernising Amman’s public transportation system and supporting Jordan’s national development goals.

The agreement, signed by Saleh Rajab Hammad, CEO of Bank of Jordan, and Mohammad Attia Allimon, CEO of Amman Vision Transport, aims to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and smart integration of urban transport in the Jordanian capital.

This collaboration reflects the bank’s broader vision of contributing to infrastructure development and community well-being through targeted financial support. It also underscores the increasing role of the private sector in driving public service innovation across the Kingdom.

In a joint statement, Amman Vision Transport expressed gratitude to Bank of Jordan, describing the partnership as “a model for effective collaboration between the banking and service sectors.” The initiative is designed to introduce environmentally friendly transport solutions, improve daily commuter experiences, and support the creation of a more connected and accessible urban environment.

“This agreement embodies our ongoing commitment to impactful national projects that support sustainability and long-term development,” said Hammad. “Bank of Jordan remains dedicated to empowering initiatives that improve the quality of services for both residents and visitors.”

The partnership is expected to help advance Amman’s transition to a smart public transport system, leveraging digital tools and green technologies to reduce congestion and environmental impact. It also aligns with broader efforts to meet the aspirations of the city’s growing population and enhance urban mobility in a modern, efficient, and inclusive way.

Bank of Jordan’s involvement highlights its evolving role as not just a financial institution, but a driver of social and economic development. With a history dating back to 1960, the bank has expanded into a regional leader with operations in Bahrain, Syria, Iraq, and Palestine, while maintaining a strong domestic presence.

This partnership with Amman Vision Transport reflects the bank’s forward-looking strategy, centred on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration—key pillars in supporting Jordan’s development agenda and improving everyday life for its citizens.
