Bosnian social media creator and beauty entrepreneur Adna Rovčanin-Omerbegović has died suddenly at the age of 26, just two days after her wedding.
Local media outlet Dnevni Avaz reported that Rovčanin-Omerbegović married her husband Faris on 13 September at Hotel Hollywood in Ilidža, near Sarajevo. However, she became seriously unwell shortly after the wedding reception and was transferred to hospital. She died on 15 September.
From nurse to beauty entrepreneur
The young influencer was widely known in Sarajevo, where she owned and managed her own beauty salon. Friends said she had first trained and worked as a nurse at the Old City Health Center before turning her passion for makeup into a second career.
“Adna always loved to help others,” one acquaintance told local media, describing her as someone who dedicated her life to caring for people and later pursued her hobby in beauty as a business.
Funeral attended by hundreds
Videos shared by Bosnian outlet Crna Hronika showed hundreds of mourners gathering at the City Cemetery of Bare for her funeral service, underscoring the shock and sadness felt across the community.
Her social media accounts have since been deactivated, but tributes have poured in from those who knew her. Her wedding photographer shared an emotional post on Instagram Stories, calling her smile “the most beautiful.”
Family and tributes
Rovčanin-Omerbegović is survived by her husband, four sisters, her parents, and an extended family network.
While the cause of her sudden illness has not been confirmed, her death has prompted widespread condolences online and within Sarajevo’s beauty and influencer community.
Her passing comes just days after she celebrated what friends described as one of the happiest moments of her life.
