Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services, has announced a major reorganization of its executive committee and operational structure to accelerate the execution of its LEAP | 28 strategy. The initiative, launched in March 2024, aims to position Bureau Veritas as the preferred partner for excellence and sustainability across industries worldwide.

As the company enters a pivotal phase of the strategy’s rollout, it is evolving its operating model to drive greater alignment between geographies, product lines, and customer workflows. The restructured organization is expected to improve agility, decision-making speed, performance impact, and innovation delivery.

Key Structural Changes

  • The company’s existing six regional divisions will be consolidated into four larger Regions:
    • Americas (Executive Vice President to be appointed)
    • Europe (Vincent Bourdil)
    • Asia Pacific (Surachet Tanwongsval)
    • Middle East, Caspian & Africa (Khurram Majeed)
  • Bureau Veritas will also scale its Product Lines under three dedicated executive leaders:
    • Industrials and Commodities: Matthieu Gondallier De Tugny
    • Urbanization and Assurance: Marc Roussel
    • Consumer Products Services: Catherine Chen

These product lines are aligned with core market sectors and customer needs and will be directly connected to the streamlined regional structure to maximize scalability, consistency, and cross-selling potential.

New Performance Role and Ongoing Functions

A new Chief Performance Officer role has been created to lead the performance pillar of LEAP | 28. Laurent Louail will oversee operational excellence, sales and marketing optimization, and overall performance governance, coordinating cross-functional initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

All other business and support functions, including finance, HR, legal, sustainability, digital innovation, and corporate development, will remain under their existing leadership:

  • CFO: François Chabas
  • Chief People Officer: Maria Lorente Fraguas
  • Legal Affairs & Internal Audit: Beatrice Place-Faget
  • Chief Digital & Innovation Officer (DxT): Philipp Karmires
  • EVP Corporate Development & Sustainability: Juliano Cardoso

CEO Statement

Hinda Gharbi, CEO of Bureau Veritas, commented:

“By directly connecting Product Lines to a simplified regional structure, we are strengthening our regional expertise and building deeper relations with our customers. This structure will foster greater agility and accelerate our strategic goals under LEAP | 28.”

She added, “We are mobilizing our global team to deliver on our ambition and unlock new value through performance, innovation, and customer focus.”

Timeline

The transition period for the new organizational structure will run from July 1 to August 31, 2025, with full implementation effective from September 1, 2025.

LEAP | 28, structured around Portfolio, Performance, and People, remains at the core of Bureau Veritas’ mission to deliver sustainable excellence across the industries it serves.
