Cardi B has revealed she is expecting her fourth child, her first with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The Grammy-winning rapper confirmed the news during an interview with CBS Mornings on Wednesday, ending weeks of speculation about her personal life.
The 32-year-old, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, said she was “excited” and “happy” as she prepared for both motherhood and her first stadium tour, Little Miss Drama, which begins in February 2026. She added that the baby is due before the tour begins.
Balancing music and motherhood
Cardi B spoke candidly about juggling her music career with raising her children. She already shares three children with her ex-husband, fellow rapper Offset.
“I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong,” she said. “While I am creating a baby, I am also doing all this work, and my partner and I are very supportive of each other.”
The rapper also highlighted Diggs’ role in helping her feel grounded during stressful moments.
“He just makes me feel safe and very confident,” she explained. “Two weeks ago I was having a panic attack over the album rollout, and he helped calm me down. Sometimes people love you, sometimes they hate you, and the criticism can be crushing. But he keeps me sure of myself.”
A new album and stability
Her upcoming album, Am I The Drama?, is scheduled for release on 19 September. The record will feature a track titled Safe, which she said reflects how her relationship with Diggs has brought her stability.
“He makes me feel like I can take over the world,” Cardi B said, adding that Diggs encouraged her by telling her: ‘Let me heal you. Give me a chance to heal you.’
The rapper admitted she delayed sharing the pregnancy news publicly, explaining with a laugh that she wanted to “close some deals first” and had not yet told her parents because she was “scared of them.”
Humor and resilience
Cardi B, known for her candid humour, joked about the financial realities of parenting during her interview.
“Now you could buy my album so I can buy Pampers, diapers, and all that kind of stuff,” she told fans. “I have four kids now!”
She also reflected on the challenges of dealing with online criticism, acknowledging that negative reactions sometimes made her hesitant to release music.
“This is my art, something I put a lot of love and time into,” she said. “When people tear it apart, it hurts. But I keep going because of the support around me.”
With a major tour, a new album, and a baby on the way, Cardi B said she feels ready for the next chapter in her personal and professional life.
