CFI Financial Group, a global leader in online trading and investing, has announced the appointment of Ziad Melhem as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, ushering in a new chapter of leadership aimed at accelerating global expansion, technological innovation, and client-focused service delivery.

Melhem, who previously served as Group Chief Marketing Officer, brings deep industry knowledge and strategic acumen to the role, having been instrumental in strengthening CFI’s international brand presence and market position in recent years. As Group CEO, he will now take on the responsibility of overseeing day-to-day operations and driving the Group’s ambitious global growth plans.

This leadership transition is part of a broader governance evolution within the company. Co-Founders Hisham Mansour and Eduardo Fakhoury, who have served as Managing Directors, will move into board-level roles, becoming Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively. Both will continue to guide the Group’s strategic direction and corporate vision while supporting the executive leadership team.

In a parallel appointment, Stelios Thrasyvoulou, formerly Chief Technology and Information Officer, has been named Chief Product and Technology Officer, a role that underscores the Group’s commitment to leveraging innovation and cutting-edge technology in its offerings.

Founders Embrace Governance Role

In a statement, newly appointed Chairman Hisham Mansour said:

“As we move into an exciting new phase of CFI’s journey, these leadership appointments reflect our commitment to building a company that continues to grow and evolve beyond its founders. Eduardo and I remain fully engaged in shaping the Group’s strategic direction from our roles on the Board, and in supporting Ziad as he takes the helm as Group CEO. We have full confidence in his leadership and in the broader management team to lead CFI into its next chapter of success and deliver exceptional value to our clients worldwide.”

CEO Vision for the Future

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Ziad Melhem said:

“It is an honor to take on the role of Group CEO and to continue building on the strong foundation that Hisham, Eduardo, and the entire CFI team have created. We are entering a dynamic new chapter for CFI, and I look forward to working with our talented teams to drive innovation, growth, and excellence across all markets we serve.”

The appointments come at a pivotal time for CFI Financial Group, which has expanded rapidly across multiple markets, offering a wide range of trading instruments and platforms to retail and institutional investors worldwide.

With the updated leadership structure, CFI is reinforcing its long-term strategic focus, including investment in next-generation technologies, client-centric product development, and corporate governance — all of which position the Group to maintain its momentum as a leading global financial services provider.
