Dar, a Sidara company and global leader in infrastructure consulting, has been appointed Independent Engineer for a major five-year investment program aimed at modernizing and expanding Paris-Beauvais Airport in France. The airport, which currently serves five million passengers annually, is set to undergo a large-scale transformation covering airside and landside infrastructure, terminal buildings, parking, and equipment installation.

The initiative is spearheaded by SPV Bellova, the new concessionaire of the airport, with execution by a design-build consortium (CC) comprising Bouygues Bâtiment Grand Ouest, Bouygues Bâtiment International, Egis Avia, Egis Bâtiment, and architectural firm Ameller Dubois.

Dar, through its French subsidiary Dar France, will be responsible for independently auditing the design stages, monitoring the construction process, supervising project acceptance, and validating the resolution of outstanding issues during the defect liability period.

A Strategic Role in a Flagship Project

The appointment underlines Dar’s growing influence in Europe’s aviation sector. As Danny Aoun, Board Member and Regional Director at Dar, stated:

“We are exceptionally excited to support SPV Bellova and the design-build consortium in delivering a future-fit and sustainable modernization and expansion program for Paris-Beauvais Airport. This project will help reposition the airport as a key hub for France and set new benchmarks for aviation infrastructure across Europe.”

Anthony Martin, President of Bellova, added:

“The modernization of Paris-Beauvais Airport marks a key milestone in strengthening the attractiveness and competitiveness of our region. We are proud to rely on the expertise of Dar France to help deliver a transformation that is exemplary, sustainable, and focused on quality of service.”

Expanding Footprint in European Aviation

The Paris-Beauvais Airport upgrade adds to Dar’s expanding European portfolio. The firm is currently serving as the Master Civil Engineer for Poland’s Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK)—one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region. Globally, Dar is recognized for its leadership in aviation design and consulting, including high-profile roles such as:

  • Lead Design Consultant for Al Maktoum International Airport, UAE
  • Principal Aviation Consultant for Ethiopia’s new national airport, the largest in Africa

With decades of experience in complex, multidisciplinary airport developments, Dar brings to Paris-Beauvais a deep understanding of international best practices, sustainability integration, and advanced design technologies.

Transforming a Regional Gateway

The Paris-Beauvais project is expected to enhance capacity, sustainability, and passenger experience, strengthening its role as a secondary gateway to the French capital and northern Europe.

The upgrade aligns with national and EU-level priorities for improving regional mobility, reducing environmental impact, and future-proofing transportation hubs through smart, scalable infrastructure.

The project represents not only a technical transformation of the airport but also a strategic repositioning, expected to boost economic growth and competitiveness for the Hauts-de-France region.

With Dar’s proven expertise and Bellova’s ambitious vision, the Paris-Beauvais Airport modernization marks a significant step toward the next generation of European air travel infrastructure.
