In a significant step towards empowering Emiratis and enhancing their role in the private sector, the Dubai Land Department (DLD), through its Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), held a ceremony to recognise the top real estate brokerage firms contributing to the Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme. The event reflects Dubai’s broader strategy to increase national workforce participation in key economic sectors.
Held at the DLD headquarters on Thursday, the ceremony was attended by His Excellency Omar Hamad BuShehab, Director General of DLD, along with senior executives and representatives from Dubai’s dynamic real estate industry.
Ten brokerage firms were honoured for exceeding the programme’s Emiratisation goals, each having successfully hired more than 20 Emirati professionals. These companies are now eligible for additional classification points with DLD—an incentive that acknowledges their commitment to supporting national talent and creating pathways to leadership within the sector.
The recognised companies included:
Harbour Real Estate Broker, On Plan Real Estate, Dirham for Real Estate Brokerage, AlRuwad Real Estate, AKN Properties, Exp Real Estate, FAM Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Codes, PSI Real Estate, and D&B Properties.
Mohammed Ali Al Badwawi, Acting CEO of RERA, praised the initiative:
“What we are witnessing today is a true example of a conscious partnership between the public and private sectors. These firms have embraced Emiratisation as a strategic investment that reflects institutional maturity and long-term vision.”
Launched to expand employment opportunities for UAE nationals in the real estate brokerage field, the Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme integrates training, mentorship, and career development with the active support of the private sector. It is part of a larger framework aligned with both the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and Dubai Social Agenda 33, which focus on market sustainability, skill development, and inclusive economic growth.
The success of the programme, officials said, lies in the collaborative spirit of the companies that view Emiratisation not as a quota, but as a future-focused commitment to human capital development and market stability.
“This initiative goes beyond recognition. It demonstrates how Emiratisation can drive sustainable transformation across the real estate sector, while strengthening the talent pool with skilled, ambitious Emiratis,” Al Badwawi added.
DLD is now calling on all real estate companies in Dubai to join the initiative, highlighting the mutual benefits of participation—including enhanced classification, stronger market positioning, and contribution to Dubai’s vision of being the best city in the world to live and work.
By supporting national talent, the initiative not only boosts employment but also reinforces Dubai’s role as a leader in creating balanced, resilient, and inclusive economic systems for the future.
