Emirates has announced it will operate its new Airbus A350 aircraft on the daily service between Dubai and Hangzhou, China, from 26 October 2025, just three months after the airline launched flights to the eastern Chinese city.

The move marks a significant investment in Emirates’ operations in mainland China, underscoring the airline’s strategy to expand connectivity and enhance the passenger experience.

Flight EK310 will depart Dubai at 04:15 and land in Hangzhou at 16:00. The return flight, EK311, will leave Hangzhou at 00:10 and arrive in Dubai at 06:10, offering travellers seamless connectivity via Dubai International Airport to the airline’s global network.

Strengthening presence in China

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the deployment of the A350 is a natural progression in the airline’s China strategy.

“Over the last year we have made significant investments in our operations to Chinese mainland, creating meaningful impact through the launch of brand-new destinations and providing an elevated in-flight experience with our latest products. Introducing the A350 to Hangzhou is the natural next step, as we continue to bring the latest and greatest that Emirates has to offer to China’s skies,” Kazim said.

He added that the A350 will add “a new dynamic” to Emirates’ existing Chinese operations, which are already served by the Boeing 777 and A380 aircraft.

A closer look at the A350

The Airbus A350 is the first new aircraft type to join the Emirates fleet since 2008. With its signature interiors, higher ceilings, and wider aisles, the model has been designed with passenger comfort in mind. Emirates has also equipped the aircraft with upgraded technology and inflight entertainment to enhance the travel experience.

The introduction of the A350 will also mark the launch of Premium Economy on the Hangzhou route, expanding Emirates’ premium offering in China. Premium Economy passengers will enjoy spacious leather reclining seats with full leg rests, 13.3-inch TV screens, in-seat charging, a side cocktail table, and complimentary amenity kits. The cabin also offers exclusive touches such as the Chandon Vintage Brut 2017 sparkling wine.

Three-class configuration

The Emirates A350 is configured with 312 seats across three classes:

  • 32 next-generation Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout.
  • 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 layout.
  • 259 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 layout.

The deployment of the aircraft comes as Emirates continues to reinforce its footprint in Asia. It also reflects the rising demand for premium travel options in the region, particularly among business and leisure travellers seeking greater comfort and flexibility.

Bookings are available through Emirates’ website, mobile app, contact centres, travel agents, and Chinese payment platforms including WeChat Pay.
