Emirates is expanding the reach of its Premium Economy and refreshed Business Class cabins, with new aircraft deployments across Amman, Mumbai, Muscat and Bahrain later this year.
The move will see the Dubai-based carrier introduce more of its next-generation Airbus A350s and retrofitted Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s on services to the four cities, providing passengers with greater access to the airline’s upgraded cabin products.
Enhanced fleet rollout
From 26 October 2025, flight EK903/904 to Amman will operate with a four-class Airbus A380 fitted with refreshed interiors, including Premium Economy. Both daily services to the Jordanian capital will soon feature Emirates’ latest cabins.
Mumbai will also benefit from the rollout, with EK504/505 being operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777 from the same date. Customers travelling between Dubai and India’s commercial hub will be able to experience the new cabins on 22 weekly flights.
Meanwhile, Muscat is set to receive the A350 on EK862/863 services every Thursday and Saturday starting 30 October, bringing the new aircraft type to all nine weekly flights on the route.
In Bahrain, Emirates will add a retrofitted Boeing 777 on EK833/834 every Thursday from 4 December. Once this upgrade is in place, the Gulf nation will be exclusively served with aircraft featuring the airline’s latest cabins.
Scaling Premium Economy
The latest deployment strengthens Emirates’ Premium Economy offering across its network. By the upcoming winter season, the airline expects to serve 68 destinations with aircraft fitted with Premium Economy, including 36 cities where every flight features the cabin.
The expansion will increase the airline’s Premium Economy footprint to more than 635 weekly flights. By the end of 2025, Emirates projects offering over 2 million Premium Economy seats annually, up from the current 1.8 million.
Largest retrofit programme in aviation
The rollout is part of Emirates’ wide-reaching retrofit programme, which it describes as one of the largest in aviation history. To date, 67 aircraft have been refurbished, with the project progressing at an average pace of one aircraft every three weeks. The plan covers a total of 219 aircraft, comprising 110 Airbus A380s and 109 Boeing 777s.
Alongside the retrofit work, the carrier has already introduced nine Airbus A350s, currently serving 15 destinations.
Meeting premium travel demand
Emirates says the latest changes reflect growing demand for premium travel across its global network. Premium Economy has been positioned as a product for customers seeking greater comfort at a value that sits between Economy and Business Class, offering wider seats, more legroom, and elevated dining.
Tickets on the upgraded services are available via emirates.com, the Emirates app, Emirates retail outlets, and travel agents.
