In celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, InterContinental Dubai Festival City has launched a pair of curated dining experiences to honour the resilience, achievements, and enduring contributions of Emirati women to the UAE’s growth. The initiative underscores the hotel’s commitment to recognising women’s vital role in shaping the nation’s future and brings together the local community in moments of reflection, gratitude, and joy.

Marking the national occasion, celebrated annually on 28 August, the hotel invites guests to participate through two distinct gastronomic offerings—each blending cultural heritage with world-class hospitality. These experiences are designed not only to delight the palate but also to foster meaningful social connection and appreciation.

“Emirati Women’s Day is a proud moment for the nation and a meaningful occasion for us at InterContinental Dubai Festival City,” said Thomas Schmelter, Area General Manager for IHG Hotels at Dubai Festival City. “We are honoured to join the UAE in recognising the exceptional achievements and contributions of Emirati women across all sectors. Through our curated experiences at Karam Al Bahr and CHOIX, we aim to create memorable moments for families and friends to come together, celebrate, and reflect.”

A Taste of Lebanon at Karam Al Bahr
Located along the scenic Waterfront Promenade, Karam Al Bahr offers guests the chance to mark the day with the warmth of traditional Lebanese hospitality. With its sweeping views and open-air charm, the restaurant provides an ideal backdrop for group gatherings.

On offer is a generous selection of Lebanese classics, from freshly made mezze to signature grilled seafood. The venue promises an immersive culinary experience, rooted in time-honoured recipes and premium ingredients.

Karam Al Bahr is open daily from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am, with a weekday business lunch menu starting at AED 65 from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

Parisian Elegance at CHOIX
For those seeking a more refined celebration, CHOIX—set within the hotel’s lobby—delivers a sophisticated Afternoon Tea experience curated by renowned French chef Pierre Gagnaire, recipient of three Michelin stars.

Guests are invited to enjoy an array of finely crafted pastries, homemade scones, signature macarons, and premium DAMMANN Frères teas. The venue’s elegant interiors, paired with sweeping views of Dubai Creek, offer a serene atmosphere to mark the occasion with grace and indulgence.

The Afternoon Tea is available daily from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and is priced at AED 125 per person, inclusive of unlimited tea or coffee.

With these offerings, InterContinental Dubai Festival City not only celebrates Emirati women but also reinforces its role as a space where culture, community, and culinary excellence converge. Whether enjoying a leisurely lunch or an elegant tea service, guests are welcomed into a celebration that honours the spirit and strength of Emirati women.
