Formula E has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Marvel Studios to bring superheroes to the racetrack for the season-ending double-header of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The collaboration marks the integration of Marvel’s upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps into the motorsport world, rebranding the season finale as The 2025 Marvel Fantastic Four London E-Prix.
The races will be held at the ExCeL London on 26 and 27 July 2025. The event is set to blend high-speed racing with cinematic spectacle, in what Formula E describes as a “milestone moment” in motorsport entertainment.
Ellie Norman, Chief Marketing Officer of Formula E, hailed the partnership as a leap forward for the sport. “This collaboration marks another milestone moment for Formula E. Through joining forces with one of the world’s most iconic and culturally relevant brands, we continue to push the boundaries and challenge the status quo of motorsport and entertainment,” she said. “We’re not only connecting with a new generation of fans but reinforcing our position as a truly global, entertainment brand.”
As part of the partnership, Formula E’s popular Attack Mode — which provides drivers with a brief power boost during races — will be reimagined as Fantastic Four Attack Mode. Themed race graphics, activations, and interactive content inspired by Marvel’s First Family will be featured throughout the race weekend.
Tiziana Di Gioia, Chief Revenue Officer of Formula E, added: “This collaboration is a powerful example of how Formula E can deliver across entertainment, culture, and innovation. Just as Marvel Studios brings legendary heroes to the screen, our drivers are real-life speed heroes — and together, we will create a unique and unforgettable experience in London that will engage fans of all ages.”
Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits cinemas this week and will serve as the narrative and visual inspiration for the race weekend. Holly Frank, Walt Disney Studios VP for Partnership Management and Operations, said: “The Fantastic Four and Formula E share much connective tissue – from innovation and technology to fast-paced action and fun! We’re thrilled to be teaming up to give fans the chance to celebrate the London E-Prix and support Marvel’s First Family.”
In addition to the high-octane race action, the event promises full-day entertainment suitable for all ages. Live music performances by British chart acts Pixie Lott and Rizzle Kicks will headline the weekend, while race simulators, interactive gaming arenas, and themed experiences will engage fans of both motorsports and superheroes.
With London playing host to this unique blend of film, speed, and spectacle, Formula E’s season finale looks set to become one of the most talked-about sporting events of the year.
