Google has rolled out two powerful AI features—photo-to-video transformation and a new AI filmmaking tool called Flow—for Gemini Ultra and Pro users across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Starting today, creators and artists in MENA can access the new photo-to-video capability, which allows users to animate any still image into an eight-second video clip with audio, powered by Google’s advanced generative AI models.
To use the tool, users can select “Videos” from Gemini’s prompt menu, upload a photo, and enter a brief description along with audio cues. The AI then generates a dynamic video version of the image, adding motion and sound. The tool is being marketed as a creative outlet for animating everyday objects, artworks, or landscapes.
Alongside the new animation feature, Google also launched Flow, its AI-driven filmmaking studio, which integrates its most advanced models—Veo, Imagen, and Gemini. Designed for both professional filmmakers and aspiring storytellers, Flow offers a set of creative tools for producing cinematic-quality content with minimal effort.
Flow’s capabilities include:
- 🎥 Camera Controls – Fine-tune camera angles, motion, and perspective
- 🧩 Scenebuilder – Extend scenes, transition smoothly, and retain character continuity
- 🗂️ Asset Management – Organize prompts, visuals, and sequences easily
The tools are accessible in Arabic and available throughout the MENA region, reflecting Google’s push to localize cutting-edge AI technologies for a broader global user base.
According to Google, over 40 million videos have already been created using Veo 3 and Flow via the Gemini platform in just seven weeks since their global soft launch.
All AI-generated videos will include a visible watermark and an invisible SynthID tag, ensuring transparency about their artificial origins.
Google encourages users to subscribe to Gemini AI Pro or Ultra tiers to access the new features, which continue to blur the line between still photography, storytelling, and cinematic creation. The tools are part of a wider trend in democratizing content production through AI, giving individuals powerful new ways to express their ideas.
