Building on the momentum of July’s widely attended “Dubai Active Summer” initiative, the Dubai Sports Council has unveiled a fresh set of outdoor and wellness activities for August in Hatta’s scenic Wadi Hub. Designed to suit all ages and abilities, the events continue to position Hatta as a vibrant summer destination for fitness, wellness, and nature exploration.

Kicking off the August line-up is the Active Summer Swim Challenge, scheduled for early mornings at the popular Drop In plunge pool. Participants can choose from swim distances of 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, or 1600 m. Taking place from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, the event is open to both individuals and families, and offers completion certificates for all who finish.

On August 17, a guided morning hike will take participants along the green and blue trekking trails from Wadi Hub to the iconic Hatta Sign and back, showcasing the rugged beauty of the surrounding desert and mountain terrain.

The wellness theme continues on Sunday, August 24, with a Yoga & Swim Combo. This session combines a relaxing yoga experience followed by optional recreational swimming, offering a holistic blend of mindfulness and physical activity in one of Hatta’s most tranquil settings.

Rounding out the month on Saturday, August 30, the final session features structured swimming lessons in the Drop In pool, conducted by certified instructors. This inclusive event welcomes both beginners eager to learn and experienced swimmers looking for informal pool time during the recreational swim.

These August activities follow July’s vibrant Hatta Summer Sports Tournament, which drew over 6,000 participants across a wide spectrum of events including kayaking festivals, yoga by Hatta Dam, mountain runs, night hikes, and indoor competitions.

Part of the broader “Active Summer” campaign led by the Dubai Sports Council, the Hatta events aim to activate the UAE’s natural landscapes through inclusive and community-focused programming. By promoting physical activity across all age groups and nationalities, the initiative supports the country’s vision of integrating wellness into everyday life.

Hatta, known for its breathtaking outdoor backdrops and increasing appeal as a sports tourism hub, continues to evolve as a destination where leisure, wellness, and adventure intersect. The Dubai Sports Council’s strategic efforts are not only bringing structured sports and wellness activities to the forefront, but also reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to nature-based, healthy living.

Whether it’s a swim at sunrise, a hike through the hills, or yoga beside mountain views, the August programme in Hatta promises something for everyone—cementing its status as a leading outdoor and wellness retreat this summer.
