HONOR has officially launched its latest foldable flagship, the HONOR Magic V5, in the United Arab Emirates, setting new benchmarks for durability, battery capacity, and AI-powered innovation. The device, unveiled at the brand’s regional event in Dubai under the theme “Unfold New Possibilities”, is now available for pre-order.

Ingmar Wang, President of HONOR Middle East & Africa, described the launch as a step towards making foldables a mainstream choice. “The HONOR Magic V5 is not just a flagship; it’s our vision to unfold new possibilities across the Middle East and Africa. By overcoming challenges of bulkiness, battery life, durability, and photography, we are encouraging users to make foldables their primary device,” he said.

In a headline-grabbing moment, the Magic V5 earned a Guinness World Record for lifting the heaviest weight by a suspended foldable smartphone – an impressive 104kg – underscoring its engineering strength.

Slim Yet Powerful
At just 8.8mm when folded and 4.1mm when unfolded, the Magic V5 is among the slimmest foldable phones on the market. Built with premium lightweight materials, it combines portability with the flexibility of a foldable design.

Industry’s Largest Foldable Battery
The device boasts a 5,820mAh silicon-carbon battery – the largest ever seen in a foldable smartphone – offering 15% higher silicon content for improved energy density. It supports 66W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge, ensuring all-day use on a single charge.

Durability That Sets Records
Rated IP58 and IP59 for dust and water resistance, the Magic V5 promises resilience in challenging environments. Its NanoCrystal Shield offers 15 times better scratch resistance compared to previous HONOR foldables, while the Super Steel Hinge is tested for up to 500,000 folds.

AI Integration for Smarter Use
The Magic Sidebar feature offers context-aware AI suggestions to enhance multitasking, while Google Gemini comes pre-installed, enabling instant AI assistance with a simple double-tap gesture. The AI Falcon Camera System includes a 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto Camera, delivering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom – the highest zoom capability on any foldable device to date.

Price and Pre-Order Benefits
Priced at AED 6,499, the Magic V5 comes with an exclusive pre-order bundle worth AED 3,695, featuring a Bose Speaker, HONOR Magic Pen, HONOR Case, and HONOR VIP Care+. Customers can pre-order through HONOR’s official online store, physical experience stores, and major UAE retailers.

The HONOR Magic V5 enters the market at a time when foldable smartphones are gaining momentum, aiming to bridge the gap between innovation and everyday usability.
