Kuwait Financial Centre “Markaz” has secured five prestigious awards in 2025 from three leading global financial institutions — EMEA Finance, Euromoney, and MEED — highlighting the firm’s consistent institutional excellence and innovative investment strategies.

The accolades span a wide range of financial services, recognising Markaz’s strong performance in asset management, investment banking, advisory, and real estate. This year’s wins mark another milestone in the company’s long-standing reputation as a regional financial leader with more than five decades of industry experience.

At the EMEA Finance Middle East Banking Awards 2025, held earlier this year in Dubai, Markaz was awarded Best Asset Manager and Best Local Investment Bank, acknowledging its ability to structure and execute complex transactions while delivering innovative, client-specific solutions across regional capital markets. Mr. Basel Al Habib, Senior Analyst, MENA Equities, accepted both awards on behalf of the institution.

Separately, Euromoney named Markaz the Best Securities House in Kuwait, recognising its ability to navigate an increasingly dynamic market landscape with agility and strategic foresight.

At the MENA Banking Excellence Awards 2025, hosted in Dubai last week, Markaz was honoured with two additional distinctions:

  • Excellence in Investment Advisory in MENA
  • Excellence in Real Estate Investment in MENA

These awards were received by Mr. Abdulrazzaq T. Razooqi, Senior Vice President, Head of Advisory and M&A, and Mr. Khaled Al Mubaraki, Senior Vice President, MENA Real Estate, in recognition of the bank’s client-focused, data-driven investment services and real estate strategies.

Mr. Ali H. Khalil, CEO of Markaz, commented on the recognition:

“These awards underscore the strength of our institutional capabilities and the trust we have cultivated by consistently delivering effective, high-quality investment solutions. They reaffirm our steadfast focus on precision, innovation, and agility.”

The awards were granted after rigorous evaluation processes, combining quantitative and qualitative metrics such as financial performance, operational resilience, innovation, and client impact. This reflects Markaz’s ability to maintain strong results amid global headwinds, including inflation, regulatory changes, and shifting investor preferences.

With these recognitions, Markaz’s cumulative award count has now surpassed 90 industry distinctions, covering key domains such as wealth advisory, research, sustainability, and digital transformation.

As the financial landscape continues to evolve, Markaz says it remains focused on delivering value-driven, sustainable solutions tailored to the needs of both institutional and retail investors across the MENA region and beyond.
