Mary Kay Inc. has unveiled its 2025 Sustainability Report, offering a comprehensive update on the company’s progress toward its 2030 goals and showcasing its wide-ranging efforts across environmental stewardship, women’s empowerment, and economic inclusion.
The report reflects a year of ambitious milestones, reinforcing Mary Kay’s long-standing commitment to sustainability as a core part of its business strategy. The company’s efforts are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and serve as a benchmark for global stakeholders.

Environmental Achievements
Among the company’s 2024 environmental milestones:
- Responsible packaging saw the TimeWise® Targeted-Action® Toning Lotion bottle composed of 94% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.
- Sustainable sourcing included 93% RSPO-certified palm oil and 80% Shea from Global Shea Alliance suppliers.
- At its Texas-based R&D and manufacturing hub, 100% of water used is now treated and returned to the local watershed.
- Longstanding partnerships were celebrated, including 37 years with The Nature Conservancy and 16 years with the Arbor Day Foundation, supporting over 130 conservation projects globally.
Social and Economic Impact
Mary Kay’s Pink Changing Lives® program has now surpassed $230 million USD in donations since 1996. In 2024 alone:
- Over 600,000 women benefited from empowerment programmes globally.
- STEM education was supported with 37 grants awarded to young women across 16 countries, plus additional scholarships via the Madam C.J. Walker program.
- The company participated as a special awards partner at the 2024 International Science and Engineering Fair.
Economically, women comprised 63% of the global workforce and held 57% of leadership positions in Mary Kay’s top 10 markets. Its executive team is now 60% female.
Notably, Mary Kay expanded its international footprint by launching operations in Kyrgyzstan and embraced digital transformation with a “Phygital” selling campaign piloted in Mexico and Brazil, with Colombia to follow.
