AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has unveiled its 2025 lineup of youth development programs under the Ithra initiative, reinforcing its mission to empower Bahraini youth through education and skill-building. This year’s offering introduces a new age-specific track and continues to deliver dynamic programming for multiple age groups.

The highlight of the 2025 series is the launch of Ithra Youth, a new segment targeting adolescents aged 15 to 16, aimed at advancing their cognitive and personal development. The program offers a blend of experiential learning, skill enhancement, and preparatory guidance for academic and real-world challenges. Graduates are given pathways to continue their development through age-appropriate MKF offerings in future cycles.

Running alongside Ithra Youth are MKF’s established programs:

  • Ithra Buds (ages 10–12), which introduces life skills through play and interactive activities.
  • Ithra Juniors (ages 13–14), offering hands-on scientific learning to help students understand and contribute to community development.

Each track is carefully curated and accommodates over 30 participants per season, with enrollment designed to ensure close mentorship and maximum engagement.

What sets Ithra apart is its research-backed curriculum, developed through comprehensive participant assessments and continuous evaluation. Sessions are delivered by qualified trainers and mentors, employing experiential methods such as practical workshops, field visits, sports, creative arts, and thematic challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at MKF, emphasized the significance of expanding the Ithra platform. “We are proud to see Ithra evolve and cater to more stages of youth development. These programs reflect our unwavering belief in the capabilities of young Bahrainis,” she stated. “By investing in their personal growth, we are cultivating confident, aware, and future-ready individuals.”

Founded in 2011, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation is a Bahraini non-profit dedicated to driving social impact through education. It operates under the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and has consistently offered youth-centered initiatives that bridge academic knowledge with practical life skills.

Through Ithra 2025, MKF continues to solidify its role as a key driver of youth development in the Kingdom, creating platforms for learning, exploration, and self-discovery. The Foundation’s commitment lies in nurturing a generation that contributes meaningfully to both personal success and national progress.
