Oman Air and Turkish Airlines have announced a strategic partnership between their frequent flyer programmes, offering enhanced benefits and global mileage accrual opportunities for members.

Effective from 1 August 2025, Turkish Airlines’ Miles&Smiles programme, with over 21 million members, now connects to Oman Air destinations including Muscat, Salalah, and Khasab. Members can earn miles and enjoy rewards across Oman Air’s network, while Oman Air’s Sindbad members gain access to Turkish Airlines’ extensive global routes spanning Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Americas.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer at Oman Air, described the partnership as a major step in expanding the Sindbad programme.

“This latest loyalty agreement, part of our ongoing partnership, is a meaningful step in expanding the value of our Sindbad programme and strengthening Oman Air’s international reach. We look forward to offering our guests even more rewarding travel experiences around the world,” Rutter said.

Ahmet Olmuştur, Chief Commercial Officer at Turkish Airlines, welcomed the expanded accessibility for Miles&Smiles members.

“Miles&Smiles becomes even more accessible with this agreement. This partnership opens doors for our leisure and business travelers, simplifying their global journeys and making each trip a remarkable story,” he said.

The collaboration allows both airlines to offer members more seamless travel experiences, with opportunities to earn and redeem miles across a significantly expanded network. The move reflects a growing trend in the airline industry to strengthen alliances and loyalty programmes, catering to a more globally mobile customer base.

In addition to the loyalty programme enhancement, Oman Air continues to expand its international footprint. Recent developments include the launch of new destinations such as Rome and Amsterdam, increased flight frequencies to key cities including London and Moscow, and strengthened codeshare partnerships with leading international carriers.

The partnership aligns with both airlines’ strategic focus on customer experience, connectivity, and value-added services. Frequent flyer members are now positioned to benefit from a wider array of travel options, streamlined journeys, and enriched rewards, making long-haul and regional travel more accessible than ever.

By combining their networks and loyalty offerings, Oman Air and Turkish Airlines aim to deliver greater convenience and flexibility, catering to both leisure and business travelers while reinforcing their positions in the competitive global aviation market.
