Telecoms provider Ooredoo has launched the latest wave of its Springboard programme, reaffirming its commitment to empowering women in Oman and strengthening inclusive growth across society.
The initiative, recognised as one of the country’s most impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes, has already supported more than 5,000 women in previous editions. Developed by women, for women, the course provides participants with tools to unlock their potential, grow in confidence, and advance in both professional and personal life.
Skills and self-discovery
The curriculum focuses on self-discovery, confidence building, and communication skills, while also enhancing teamwork, time management and resilience. Participants are encouraged to develop supportive peer networks that not only aid individual well-being but also promote career progression.
For businesses, organisers say the benefits are tangible, with stronger inclusion practices and a more motivated, future-ready workforce emerging as direct outcomes of the programme.
Wide participation
This year’s intake reflects the diversity of Oman’s workforce and society. Participants include women from the Al Shura Council, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Housing and Planning, Ministry of Investment and Commerce, and the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA). Others represent the Royal Navy of Oman, Tamkeen International Foundation, OQ, Towell Group, as well as entrepreneurs, graduates, freelancers, artists and mental health coaches.
Organisers say this broad cross-section of participants illustrates the programme’s adaptability and the growing appetite among Omani women to embrace opportunities for leadership, professional growth and personal resilience.
Supporting national development
Ooredoo emphasised that Springboard is a cornerstone of its long-term social investment strategy, aligning with Oman’s national development goals to create a skilled and empowered workforce. By equipping women with skills to thrive, the company said it is contributing to inclusive economic development and social progress.
The initiative also highlights the increasing role of women in shaping Oman’s future, with participants drawn not only from major government and private institutions but also from the creative and wellness sectors.
Commitment to empowerment
A spokesperson for Ooredoo said: “Springboard is about more than personal growth. It builds confidence, unlocks potential and creates networks that benefit individuals, businesses and society as a whole. We are proud to see participants from across Oman embrace this journey.”
CSR experts in the region have described Ooredoo’s Springboard programme as a model for impactful community engagement, combining structured training with long-term benefits for women and the organisations they represent.
With each new wave, Ooredoo hopes to extend the programme’s reach further, helping Omani women at every stage of their careers develop the resilience and skills needed to play an active role in building the nation’s future.
