Ooredoo, in partnership with Tamimah Telecom, has unveiled ERSAL, a next-generation unified communication platform aimed at transforming business engagement in Oman and beyond.

Announced as part of Ooredoo’s ongoing efforts to accelerate the nation’s digital transformation, ERSAL integrates multiple communication channels — including SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications, voice, email, and video — into a single system accessible through one API.

Saied Sadiq Al-Lawati, Acting Chief Business and Wholesale Officer at Ooredoo, said the launch addresses the needs of businesses operating in an increasingly fast-paced and competitive environment.

“The launch of ERSAL reflects our commitment to accelerating Oman’s digital transformation by equipping businesses with future-ready platforms. In a market where speed, intelligence, and scale define success, ERSAL empowers organisations to lead with confidence, delivering secure, integrated communication at every touchpoint,” Mr Al-Lawati said.

The platform supports multiple deployment models, offering cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), on-premises, and hybrid options. This flexibility enables it to cater to a broad spectrum of enterprises, from small startups to large telecom operators.

Tamimah Telecom’s Chief Executive Officer, O.K. Ravi, highlighted the partnership’s shared goal of simplifying enterprise communication while integrating intelligence-driven tools.

“Our partnership with Ooredoo for launching ERSAL is built on a shared vision: to simplify enterprise communication while enabling intelligence-driven engagement,” Mr Ravi said.

AI-powered features

ERSAL has been designed for real-time, multi-channel engagement, integrating campaign automation, AI-driven capabilities, and behavioural analytics. This allows businesses to personalise communications at scale, manage high-volume campaigns effectively, and track performance through real-time dashboards.

The system’s modular structure means businesses can adapt it to specific needs, selecting only the tools most relevant to their operations. Features such as AI-powered customer segmentation and predictive engagement are intended to help companies deliver targeted, timely messages.

Future developments

Ooredoo and Tamimah Telecom plan to expand ERSAL’s capabilities in upcoming releases. Enhancements will include voice analytics for deeper customer insights, customer journey orchestration tools to map and optimise interactions, and specialised modules tailored to different industries.

Industry analysts say the launch of ERSAL signals Ooredoo’s growing ambitions in the enterprise solutions market, moving beyond traditional telecom services towards integrated digital platforms. By offering secure, scalable, and adaptable communication tools, Ooredoo aims to strengthen its foothold among corporate clients in Oman and across the region.

The introduction of ERSAL also aligns with Oman’s national digital economy goals, which emphasise the adoption of advanced technologies to improve business efficiency, customer service, and market competitiveness.

As enterprises continue to navigate an era defined by rapid change and evolving consumer expectations, platforms like ERSAL could play a pivotal role in enabling agile, data-driven communication strategies.
