Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. has launched its globally celebrated Pinkglow® pineapple in the United Arab Emirates, marking the fruit’s official debut in the Middle East. Known for its striking pink flesh and premium positioning, the Pinkglow pineapple will be available exclusively through talabat mart, the quick-commerce platform of leading regional delivery service talabat.

Beginning June 4, customers across the UAE can order the distinctive fruit—marketed as both a culinary indulgence and a visual showpiece—directly from talabat mart. The product will be sold in limited quantities each week and priced at AED 125 (approximately USD 34), reinforcing its position as a high-end, limited-edition delicacy.

The Pinkglow pineapple is the only patented pink-fleshed pineapple in the world, cultivated exclusively in Costa Rica and distributed by Fresh Del Monte, one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of fresh fruits and vegetables. The fruit is the result of over 16 years of research and development, combining visual novelty with carefully engineered sweetness and low acidity.

Previously available only in select markets in North America and Asia, the launch in the UAE represents a significant expansion of the product’s global footprint.

“We’re not just selling fruit—we’re curating indulgent, memorable moments rooted in decades of agricultural innovation,” said Racha El Aawar, Fresh Del Monte’s Director of Regional Marketing in the Middle East. “Talabat mart’s reach and cultural relevance in the UAE make them the ideal partner for this regional debut.”

The fruit will arrive in custom-designed packaging, making it suitable as a luxury gift item or for high-end entertaining. Talabat mart will hold exclusive distribution rights for a period of six months, with a weekly cap on the number of units available.

Alix Julien de Zelicourt, General Manager at talabat mart, noted the platform’s focus on unique and trend-forward offerings:

“The Pinkglow pineapple reflects our commitment to sourcing bold, extraordinary products. It’s not just a fruit—it’s a statement.”

Since its original launch, the Pinkglow pineapple has captured attention across social media and lifestyle platforms, praised for its distinctive appearance and flavour profile. The fruit has been featured in celebrity events, luxury brunches, and stylised food presentations worldwide.

Fresh Del Monte continues to lead innovation within the pineapple category, with proprietary products such as Honeyglow®, Rubyglow®, and DM Zero® varieties—all of which target different segments of the premium fruit market. The company operates a vertically integrated supply chain, allowing for tight quality control and responsiveness to global trends in consumer preferences.

With the UAE known for its appetite for exclusive and experiential products, industry watchers expect strong demand for the Pinkglow pineapple during its initial six-month rollout.
