The Ritz-Carlton, Amman has appointed Mr. Dimitrios Kotsifakos as its new General Manager, marking a new era for the property as it recently celebrated its third anniversary.

The luxury hotel, one of the capital’s leading landmarks, has quickly become known for its blend of world-class hospitality and refined Jordanian authenticity. Mr. Kotsifakos is set to guide the team in expanding its reputation, focusing on elevated guest experiences, culinary innovation, and high-profile events.

With more than two decades of experience in hospitality, including 15 years in senior leadership roles, Mr. Kotsifakos brings global expertise across hotel operations, food and beverage, and luxury service standards. His professional career includes key appointments at renowned properties across Europe and the Middle East under leading hospitality brands such as The St. Regis, The Westin, and Sheraton.

“It is a true privilege to lead the next chapter of The Ritz-Carlton, Amman,” Mr. Kotsifakos said in a statement. “At the heart of our culture is a deep commitment to creating meaningful, memorable experiences for every guest. I look forward to building on this legacy, elevating our position as a premier destination where world-class culinary artistry and exceptional entertainment come together in perfect harmony.”

A graduate of the prestigious Swiss Hotel Management School, Mr. Kotsifakos began his career at Hilton Athens in 2003. His association with Marriott International, the parent company of The Ritz-Carlton brand, began in 2010 when he was appointed Director of Food and Beverage at Costa Navarino Resorts in Greece.

Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for leading international teams, curating high-level guest experiences, and delivering results in competitive markets. His track record positions him well to oversee the Ritz-Carlton, Amman as it seeks to strengthen its standing both regionally and internationally.

The appointment also reflects Marriott International’s strategy of combining global best practices with local cultural understanding. Mr. Kotsifakos has already worked extensively in the Middle East, giving him valuable insight into the expectations of guests in Jordan and the wider region.

The Ritz-Carlton, Amman, located in the heart of the capital, has set itself apart since opening by offering luxury accommodation, fine dining venues, and a destination for social and corporate events. The property’s reputation has been reinforced by its service philosophy—one that blends modern refinement with deep respect for tradition.

As the hotel enters its fourth year, the leadership of Mr. Kotsifakos is expected to focus on sustaining its growth momentum, attracting discerning international travelers, and offering elevated experiences for the Jordanian market.

Industry observers say his appointment signals the brand’s ambition to further solidify the Ritz-Carlton, Amman’s status as one of the leading luxury hotels in the region.
