Samsung Unveils AI-Powered Galaxy Z Flip7

Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7, its most compact and intelligent foldable phone yet, packed with multimodal AI features, a brighter and larger FlexWindow, and enhanced durability — all designed to fit comfortably in the pocket.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 introduces a redesigned 4.1-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED FlexWindow, enabling users to interact with their device more efficiently without unfolding it. With a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate, the screen remains vivid and smooth even in direct sunlight, thanks to Vision Booster technology.

TM Roh, President and Acting Head of the Device eXperience at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Galaxy Z Flip7 is proof that big intelligence can come in a small, pocket-sized form factor. We’ve created a device that adapts, anticipates, and empowers users.”

Weighing only 188 grams and folded at just 13.7mm, the Z Flip7 is the slimmest in the Flip series. Its new Armor FlexHinge, reinforced Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and Armor Aluminum Frame offer improved resilience while maintaining a sleek silhouette.

Samsung has also upgraded the device’s power capabilities. The Z Flip7 now features a 4,300mAh battery — the largest in the Flip lineup — offering up to 31 hours of video playback. It also debuts Samsung DeX support in a Flip model, transforming the phone into a mobile workstation when connected to an external screen.

AI plays a central role in the Z Flip7, with Gemini Live now accessible via the FlexWindow. Users can perform voice searches, access travel plans, and get context-aware suggestions without opening the device. The FlexWindow also introduces Now Bar and Now Brief, surfacing real-time updates, third-party app integration, and personalized routines.

For content creators, the dual 50MP and 12MP cameras bring professional-grade imaging in a compact form. Selfies can be taken directly from the FlexWindow with Real-Time Filters and Zoom Slider, while Dual Preview lets both the photographer and subject see the live frame.

Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a more affordable foldable with a 6.7-inch main display and the same powerful FlexCam capabilities. Available in Black and White, it provides a minimalist alternative to the flagship version.

Security is also at the forefront, with Samsung announcing Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) and the integration of quantum-safe encryption into Secure Wi-Fi, ensuring user data stays protected even on public networks.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is available in Blue Shadow, Jetblack, Coral-red, and an online-exclusive Mint. Pre-orders begin July 9, with full availability on July 25.

Buyers will also receive 6 months of free access to Google AI Pro and 2TB of cloud storage, along with Samsung Care+ options and access to the New Galaxy Club.
